Since 2003, Seattle’s Decibel Festival has been a meeting of the minds for those intrigued by electronic music, performance, visual art and new media. This year, there are 170+ artists and 30+ showcases. Seattle will be covered with the purest of Electronic music. Decibel International Festival of Electronic Music Performance, Visual Art and New Media, the 9th edition, will be taking place September 26 – 30 in Seattle.

For example, you have a chance to hear Kimbra, winner of ARIA’s 2011 Best Female Artist award. Perhaps you better recognise her from her duet with Gotyé on the world-conquering Somebody That I Used To Know, a chart-topping hit in 11 countries world-wide. She’ll be at the Showbox at the Market on opening night, September 26 with The Stepkids. Also, Ariel Pink will perform with Dam-Funk and Bodyguard at The Crocodile on Friday, September 28 as part of the 2012 Decibel Festival. Also on September 28, Erykah Badu & The Cannabinoids will be performing at The Paramount in the “Renegades of Funk” showcase as part of the Decibel Festival.

There will be showcases every night (for those 21+) and lectures, workshops and interactive discussions during the day about a variety of topics – from the future of record labels to starting your own business to children and music.

The Decibel Festival Pass ($215/person) gives you access to 35 clubs showcases (14 venues, featuring 160+ artists), 7 OPTICAL events and the three-day dB Conference. As with previous years, the boat parties and after hours events are NOT INCLUDED WITH THE DECIBEL PASS. See the list of Showcases HERE.

Purchase the 3-Day Festival Pass HERE. Tickets to other after party events are available online as well. Those tickets start at $17/person.
